Sister Act provides tailormade travel experiences all over Australia and the world with our affiliate tour operators with relationships we have established for more than 10 years.

We believe that forming strong relationships with our clients, our travel suppliers and within our team is vitally important to provide the best possible level of service and reliability. It’s how we roll.

The difference between Sister Act Travel and other travel agency’s is the hands-on approach we take with every booking and interaction. All of the team are willing to get stuck in, work with clients at any hour and lend a hand where needed to ensure that your travel experience is top notch. All the team take great accountability for their advice and go to great lengths to get it right and meet your needs.

How it all began

In a quest to create work-life balance Joanne started Sister Act Travel as a ‘home-based’ travel agency in 2009. The Sister Act name originates for a few reasons: Joanne grew up with three sisters and connects with the idea of sisterhood – of looking out for one another and extending that care to provide care and attention to travellers. Fast forward a few years, and as the business grew, so did the staff, transforming the business from ‘home-based’ to a retail powerhouse.

Before starting the business, Joanne worked for many years in a retail environment, and with the arrival of her first child, the need for a better work-life balance became apparent. Technology advancements and home-based agents were becoming increasingly popular, so it almost seemed like a no-brainer. Transforming from a travel agency owner to a small business operator was an exciting venture supported by Joanne’s sisters and welcomed by a long-term client based who was then able to schedule a time and place for consultation as apposed to taking their chances of Joanne’s availability at the shopping centre.

Joanne Warne

Owner/Operator

Joanne is a logistical Queen and European specialist and she looooves Canada. Joanne thrives on the logistics of travel, and tailoring packages to ensure they take the most logical mode of transport to arrive at the destination. Multi-Stop airfares and European tailored packages are a particular favourite for Joanne to organise.

Natalie Coldham

Senior Travel Consultant

Natalie is the resident expert in packaging family holidays (some quite large) to the South Pacific, Cruises, Bali, and the Whitsunday’s.  She makes special family time magic, from the action packed to the relaxed and decadent.

Patricia Kilroe-Smith

Home Based Travel Agent

Patricia is a world master and our African/Irish Queen. She knows the globe and its treasures inside and out. Patricia has a big love for Canada and Alaska and managed to tick off a few destinations on her long-held bucket list last year. She is particularly passionate about tailoring the Rocky Mountaineer with an inside Canada/Alaska Cruise.
